We can provide therapy for your child in your own home.
We offer assessment and intervention for a wide range of speech, language and communication difficulties. Therapy can be provided for:
We work closely with you as a family to ensure that you have the information and strategies to best support your child to achieve their potential for communication. Our service begins with a free informal consultation over the telephone. A therapist will take some details, talk through your concerns and decide on the best plan of action for you and your child. This might be therapy sessions at home, interventions provided for your child at school with school staff support, or advice to help you support your child's needs on a daily basis.
If direct therapy isinducated, sessions will vary according to the nature of your child's difficulties. They may be weekly, fortnightly or monthly. All sessions are game-based and carried out in your own home or school setting to ensure that your child is relaxed and engaged. We will also provide targets and activities for you and your child to practise at home in between therapy sessions to maximise therapy effectiveness. We will provide all materials and resources as necessary and review progress on a regular basis.
If we feel that your child's difficulties can be managed at home through advice and activities, we may offer review appointments, rather than regular therapy. We are always happy to be contacted by phone or email to answer any questions you may have as and when they arise.
If you are unsure whether your child needs to be seen by a Speech and Language Therapist, get in touch. We are happy to talk things through with you over the phone, provide general recommendations and advise whether a referral is necessary.
